Hey everyone, So I spent pretty much my whole day in Starbucks today and for the first time I didn't have coffee while sitting in Starbucks. - Can you believe it-I know....
So something really cool happened today.........
So I'm just there sipping my Iced Passion Tea with Extra Classic a new member of the team -well she's new because I've never seen her...came up to me and was like "Excuse me are you waiting for someone?" Already I'm like she must be apart of the team, so I responded "Yes I'm waiting on the rest of the newspaper team". Relived that she found the right table she goes "Oh ok" and takes her reserved seat beside me. Since we were extra early, well I am always early because I usually arrive about 30 minutes prior to the scheluded time, just to ensure that when everyone arrives I'm there to greet them. The next thing I knew we were having a meaningful conversation mostly about business. However obviously if a girl and guy are together they will talk about more than just business( Like Avril Lavigne song Skater Boy says "He was a boy she was a girl can it be anymore obvious?") thus our personal conversation began. She broke the ice by just coming out and asking me if I had a girlfriend stating that she didn't want to be rude or over step her boundaries but was curious. Well can you blame her hearing the achievements and goals I've accomplished combined with my sense of style, charm, personality and the subliminal jokes I threw into our business conversation-never make jokes with your boss, unless she is really hot and its only you and her lol
So yeah I guess she couldn't help but ask..and we know that I don't have a girlfriend right now so I replied "No I don't have a girlfriend". Of course this was the point where out business conversation took a fall and changed into a personal conversation.
Truthfully we actually shared the same views on relationship and responsibilities while that was obvious to me what wasn't was the fact that we created some type of bond and gave off a certain vibe that my boss and another member picked up. Of course we denied it but in my examples and durning my input into the various activities we participated in I realized that I was using her in then. - I made an illustration about customers and I used her in my examples. Although she didn't give much input into the activities since the meeting was primarily for us not her she did give her best when the questions were directed to her.
When the meeting was over we all decided how we were going to split up and SURPRISE we ended up planning the same route. But here's the interesting part when we were walking out of starbucks I made mention to my team that the lady who was talking on her cellphone for the past 2 and a half hours (No joke) was actually the Chief Magistrate Linda P. Virgill and being the person I am I wanted to know if it really was her so I approached her lol. "Excuse me, I've seen your face on TV and I was wondering who you were", I said - She replied " You see plenty people on TV". In my mind I'm like lol yea I do but I know your Linda Virgill, quickly following up with what she just said I asked "Are you a lawyer or magistrate?" She said "I'm Linda Virgill" (In my mind What what- are you serious!). In shock I quickly made a sign to my team who was watching from a distance. "This is Chief Magistrate Linda Virgill" ....
We all introduced ourselves and soon was having a real conversation about our plans and projects - but remember we were on our way out of the door so we scheduled a meeting for another time.
Remember the girl well in the end I gave her my number I decided that if I got her number I'll probably call and what if she's not into me what if the whole reason she broke the ice was just out of curiosity? so if she calls I'll know the reason...
Of course I'll tell you if she called in one of my new Bloggeries.
